WHAT IS our impact

Terra Nexus is leveraging carbon financing to reduce emissions from food waste

There have never been more opportunities to deliver consistent, high-quality food that looks fresher, lasts longer, and actually feeds people. New regulations and market developments have created new incentives for food producers and supply chain participants to reduce emissions by cutting food waste. While food supply chains are complex, saving money by reducing food waste is a simple way to increase profits and build better brands. With literally hundreds of proven solutions ranging from responsible sourcing, improved post-harvest handling, digital supply chain technologies, and optimized donation and diversion programs, it can be challenging to know where and how to get started.

Terra Nexus wants to make it easy to evaluate, select, implement, and benefit from proven solutions that are good for people, planet, and profits. We believe food that is grown should be food that is consumed, which is why we’re on a mission to create a more responsible food system that prevents food from ever entering landfills. Our expert team provides actionable insights and enables solution assessment by utilizing predictive food loss and waste (FLW) software. After a solution has been implemented, our verified impact measurement can be used to produce additional revenue streams.

Terra Nexus is focused on the earliest stages of food production, where the largest opportunity exists to keep food feeding humans

We believe that if we can keep food fresh from the moment it is harvested, we can prevent it from becoming waste once it reaches the people who need to eat it. Our farm forward approach offers a unique level of support for food producers and manufacturers looking to maximize the value of their products and by ensuring their food is consumed.
